The sync allows you to configure custom rules of selecting any Salesforce object as a related object for logged emails.
Define email data extraction rules
Specify which Salesforce object should be used as a relation (Opportunity, Case, Custom, ...)
Define custom lookup rules using the data extracted from the email.
For example, the following case could be implemented: look for a specific ID pattern in a Subject line of emails, use the extracted ID to find a Case object or a custom object that has the ID in a certain field.
